TINYpulse Engage Redesign

Problem

TINYpulse Engage (employee engagement measurement) and Perform (performance review product) designs are inconsistent. Typography, color palettes, navigation, UI patterns are completely different between the two products. On first glance, these two products don't even look like they come from one company.

Goal

To bring a unified look and feel for TINYpulse Engage & Perform through redesigned navigation, color palette, and micro-interactions.

Strategic fit

Is it urgent?

Customers are disorientated as they switch between Engage and Perform. User interaction patterns are not the same, hence, for an admin who is only using Engage as a product might have a difficulty to learn how to use Perform, and vice versa.

Is it pervasive?

Both existing and new customers would benefit from this. The team believes that a new simplified design would help customers realizing value quicker and existing managers to feel more rewarded. Hence improving evaluation conversions and reduce churn.

How?

We took the current functionality and re-skin Engage to have consistent branding and style as Perform. During this redesign, there hasn't been an extensive UI library that Engage can reuse for its system. Hence, most of the UI patterns and micro-interactions had to be done specifically for Engage.

limitations

This redesign is considered more as a reskin as we had to consider the existing system and not change the architecture of the software.
